After a sluggish start to their AFC Cup campaign, Kitchee have gained momentum as they have picked up crucial points in their quest to finally reach the final of the competition that they have fared so well in over the last few seasons.
Kitchee dominated the game against Balestier Khalsa of Singapore with the latter barely registering in the game. Goals from Rufino (’50 and ’61), Jorge Tarres (’38) and Cheng Chin Lung (’76) comfortably saw Kitchee through to the next round.
Kitchee will now play JSW Bengaluru FC in the round of 16 set for May 25th
