Hong Kong Pegasus clinched a cup double when they defeated South China in dramatic style to win the Henderson Sapling Cup. This marks a remarkable time for a vastly improved Pegasus as they endured another energy sapping game and penalty shoot out to claim victory.
With the game level at nil all at the ninety minute mark, Pegasus looked to have sealed a win when Admir Adrovic scored in injury time which sparked wild celebrations. Pegasus were complacent and with the last kick of the game, South China equalized through Sean Tse and amazingly the game was tied.
The game drifted into extra time and then into penalties. Hong Kong Pegasus keeper Kristijan Naumovski again proved to be the hero with vital saves and victory was sealed when South China keeper Mora missed his kick. Hong Kong Pegasus were Henderson Sapling cup champions.
