On 17 May 2015, Kitchee and Eastern SC met in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok Stadium to fight for the FA Cup title. While Kitchee have already bagged the Premier League championship as well as the League Cup title in this season, Eastern not only won the Senior Shield, but were also keen to defend their FA Cup title of last year, when they beat Kitchee 1:0. In spite of torrential rain and thunderstorms, both teams showed a lot of ambition to secure this very last title of the season. Over long periods the game was balanced, with great opportunities on both sides. After 90 minutes without any goals, the game went into overtime – and when everyone was already expecting a penalty shoot-out, Belencoso made the treble for Kitchee perfect, scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes.
