Chan Yuen Ting and Eastern Make Football History

Football history was made in Hong Kong on April 22nd as Eastern won their first league title since 1995. Their pioneering manager, Chan Yuen Ting, made headlines as she became the first female manager to lead a male football team to a professional league title anywhere in the world.

The victory was made all the sweeter as they defeated their bitter rivals South China away from home by two goals to one. After an agonizing seven minutes of injury time, the final whistle brought scenes of joy, chaos and delirium as Eastern and their long suffering fans ended their two decade wait for another league title.
