A heated 2-1 away win against Southern saw Eastern go top of the table ahead of HK Pegasus after their end-to-end 1-1 draw with 7th place Yuen Long. South China beat bottom of the table Wong Tai Sin, keeping their 100% record so far. Finally a crowd of only 365 saw Rangers battle out a 0-0 draw against Dreams FC to clench only their second point this season.
Eastern picked up 5 yellow cards in their away win against Southern with Festus Baise being lucky enough not to be sent off.
South China had the highest attendance when they took on newly named “Glory Sky” Wong Tai Sin in front of 910 spectators at the Tsueng Kwan O Sports Ground, and they were rewarded with a beautiful free kick goal by Luiz Carlos in the 3rd minute.
Next round sees Southern take on Wong Tai Sin in a bottom of the table clash at Aberdeen Sports Ground while both Pegasus and South China will be looking to avoid their first loss of the season when they face each other for their first derby at Mong Kok Stadium on October 31st. Finally Rangers will be looking to cause an upset when they take on current champions Kitchee at Kowloon Bay Park.
