Rangers‘ fine form in this year’s cup competitions this year continued on Wednesday night with an impressive 2:0 victory in the Sapling Cup over Southern at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.
A 44th minute penalty from Roberto Fronza and a tidy finish from Ernesto Gomes seven minutes before time were enough to ensure that Rangers progress to the semi-finals of this year’s inaugural Sapling Cup, despite their troubles in the Premier League.
Roberto Rambo’s men will now face Pegasus on the 29th of March at 8pm in the last 4, a day after Eastern and South China meet in a 3pm kick off. Both ties will be held at Mong Kok Stadium.
