Hong Kong’s first Premier League season is over

On May 9th, 2015, the final round of the Premier League took place in Hong Kong with all four matches being played simultaneously. Though many of the league positions had already been decided before, some of the teams still had high ambitions to end the season gracefully. Kitchee have been named champion one week earlier and have therefore already qualified for the 2016 Asian Champions League Qualifiers. Now four more teams will compete for the remaining AFC Cup spot in the Post-Season Play-Off between May 21st and May 30th.

The four qualified teams are Eastern (Senior Shield Winners), South China, Sun Pegasus, and YFCMD who qualify via their league positions due to league champions Kitchee already having won the League Cup. The fixtures are as follows:

Thu, 21 May – Eastern vs South China (20:00, Mong Kok Stadium)
Sat, 23 May – YFCMD vs Sun Pegasus (15:00, Mong Kok Stadium)

The final between the winners of the two ties will be played on Sat, 30 May (15:00, Mong Kok Stadium).
