APRIL 2016 – Part 1 (Match Days: April 2nd, April 3rd)
CHINESE SUPER LEAGUE
Jack Sealy (Changchung Yatai) – not in squad
Changchun Yatai 4:4 Tianjin Teda
That was the 3rd match day for Chanchung Yatai in the Super League. So far, Sealy played for them in their first game against Hangzhou Greentown (L: 2-1), and remained on the bench in the 2nd fixture against Guangzhou Evergrande (L: 3-0). Given this 4-4 draw against Tianjin Teda, we hope that our right back will soon get another chance in the team.
CHINA LEAGUE ONE
Lee Chi Ho (Meizhou Kejia) – in starting XI
Meizhou Kejia 1:0 Qingdao Hainiu
Lee Chi Ho remains an important asset for Meizhou (with assistant coach Yeung Ching Kwong) and played again for the entire 90 minutes.
Festus Baise (Guizhou Zhicheng) – not in squad
Guizhou Zhicheng 1:2 Zhejiang Yiteng FC
Festus is currently suspended for a red card in the previous game.
Au Yeung Yiu Chung (Guizhou Zhicheng) – not in squad
Guizhou Zhicheng 1:2 Zhejiang Yiteng FC
Au Yeung is still waiting for his first appearance in China League One.
Godfred Karikari (Qingdao Hainiu) – substituted (started on bench)
Meizhou Kejia 1:0 Qingdao Hainiu
The former Beijing BG player started on the bench and came in the game for the last 24 minutes.
Jean-Jacques Kilama (Tianjin Quanjian) – in starting XI
Tianjin Quanjian 1:1 Hunan Billows
Kilama started from the beginning, but was injured in the 78th minute. He will have to rest for at least 3 weeks. Get well soon, Kiki!
Ng Wai Chiu (Tianjin Quanjian) – not in squad
Tianjin Quanjian 1:1 Hunan Billows
Ng has been playing for Tianjin since 2013, but somehow often remained under the radar. Kilama’s teammate is still waiting for his first squad appearance this season.
Paulinho (Shenzhen FC) – substituted (started on bench)
Shanghai Shenxin 1:1 Shenzhen FC
Paulinho started on the bench and was substituted later on.
Itaparica (Xinjiang Tianshan) – in starting XI
Qingdao Jonoon 1:0 Xinjiang Tianshan
Itaparica was once again in the starting XI for Xinjiang Tianshan, but his team eventually lost against Qingdao Jonoon.
